Now, after the ceasefire in the north and the calm that still prevails here, Acre (Akko-עכו) also wants to come back to life.
I arrived in Acre today to conduct a preparation tour.
"I'm glad to see that Acre is getting back on track," I said to a friend, the owner of a café in the old city. "Ya'ani," he replied, referring to "getting back on track."
Acre is far from what it should be in terms of tourism. The alleys of the old city are still empty, and you can walk through the market without any crowding at all (which is much less fun).
But, as with the entire north and the whole country, so also for Acre, we will do what we can to bring life back.
And before that, we will do everything we can to bring back the hostages.
I will update when I set dates for the upcoming tours in Acre. In the meantime, here's a short video from today.
